Nickel Silver Coffee Tables

Working with Creative Coatings, the client asked for two cylinder tables, that looked like wooden turned tables, which had been turned from logs with pieces missing. Creative Coatings worked with a Joinery firm to manufacture the tables. These where made up of 25mm thick circular MDF, with the centres cut out, to reduce the weight. The top and bottom sections are solid. Then let loose with a grinder, chisel and orbital sander, the missing pieces were formed. The tables were then primed and filled, so no edges could be seen. Once the primer was flatted down, Verometal liquid Nickel Silver was applied. Once cured, the metal was polished to make the tables as highly polished as possible.
